  1. “Politics is all about emotion and not logic”.

UGH. Never voting. Never. What’s the point if the most charismatic or the loudest person wins?

What’s the point if nobody can ever get past the idea of “parties” and have open debates about actually moving a country forwards?

It’s either I’m red or you’re blue and if you’re on the other side, nothing you have to say to me is of any value.

    Screw Politics.

  2. I think i lost brain cells…..

  3. v=7PqHzVoTD5c Here, watch the first couple minutes of this. Krugman explains what reporting would be, and what Fox does instead.

  4. And having your insurance company whose main goal is to make profit decide whats good for your health is so much better than a government third party who doesn’t have any interest into making profit off your dead corpse…

“Cap and trade and all that” LOL

  6. Hence, George W. Bush.
    Shame on us (U. S.)!

  7. This isn’t even funny. It’s scary. Peope like this have a say in who is our president.

  8. TheBlessingOfLiberty on February 9th, 2010 at 5:21 am

so, what exactly is your definition of reporting the news?

  9. THe guy in the combat hyunting gear looked like a shining light to me…he looked lighted and his nose wasa shining MUWAHAHAHAHA

  10. This is so scary…. they love the personality and no nothing about her politics. Are these people retarded?? I feel sorry for Obama, Bush fucked America, ruined the place and Obama is getting the blame… What about that dickhead at 5:15… “we are no longer an exceptional country”, you hit the nail on the head there, and i wonder why…… my God..

  11. Sara Palin is the most strange thing, why do people back her? She thinks she can run for office? ha ha ha

  12. You are now trying to completely twist the conversation in a different direction. You asked for specific examples. I gave you half a dozen. That should be the end of story. The correct response would be, “oh, yeah, I guess you’re right.”

As for the other thing, it’s not a conspiracy theory at all–you said as much yourself: Fox doesn’t report the news, they just report what other people are saying.

  13. TheBlessingOfLiberty on February 9th, 2010 at 8:19 am

I don’t know about Death Panels, but the fact is that bureaucrats would be making decisions that you and your doctor, or you and your insurance provider should be making. And I think the birther theory has already been discredited, Fox doesn’t really talk about it anymore.

But I am interested in knowing where you heard this crazy right-wing blog/think tank/Fox conspiracy theory thing. Because I have to admit, that one made me laugh.

  14. Go Stillers!

  15. As for Fox, if you are really unaware of this, what you describe here is exactly their role in the whole system. The right-wing blogs and “think tanks” spout some absurd theory, then Fox’s job is to do exactly what you said–report that “many Americans question . . .” For you to defend Fox on that point is specious at best.

BTW–it’s not “reporting” to say what “people are saying.” How is that news? Reporting is finding out the _truth_, and reporting on that.

  16. Whoops, now you’re doing exactly what Fox does–misquoting yourself. What you asked was, “Give me a specific example of right wing propaganda that is based on anything besides logic and facts.” Everything I listed there is an example of that. Who is this “they” you mention? The birther conspiracy theory, for example, is something that MANY GOP members of Congress given credence to. And of course many of the GOP MoC have talked about death panels as well.

So, reporting what people are saying and things that are happening? They never said there WILL be death panels, they reported on people who thought there would be. The didn’t announce “Obama wasn’t born in America!”, they reported that some people believed he wasn’t. You are angry because they are reporting EVERYTHING people are saying, instead of just one side.

  18. @MrGraduate9 He’s only been in office a year–when exactly did spend our children’s future? By adding onto the $1.3 trillion deficit that Bush left him with?

  19. @TheBlessingOfLiberty Uh, hello, death panels? Acting ignorant of the real whoppers doesn’t make them not true. How about O’Reilly vilifying the abortion doctor that got killed? How about questioning whether Obama was born in America? How about claiming Obama is wrong to try the 9/11 case in fed court when Bush did the exact same thing? How about claiming Obama mirandized the underwear bomber when in fact he followed the same policies as the Bush administration? I’m out of room, not examples.

  20. @TheBlessingOfLiberty In fact, any parent with any sense does exactly this. A parent would be a moron not to send their child to the best school possible. Get your kid set on the road to success, and you’ll have a comfortable life in your retirement.

The exact same thing would work for the country as a whole.

  21. @TheBlessingOfLiberty Invest in the country. Infrastructure, education, and so on. That creates more productive people, who give back 100-fold in the long run.

What you’re asking is very obvious. Are you aware that businesses commonly borrow money to expand with the expectation to pay it off in the future? Same thing.

A simple example: college-educated people earn far more than those without. Buy everyone a college education. We’d make back the investment in no time.

  22. Cenk, what you said in the last four minutes is really important. It’s such a hard lesson for the left to learn. That’s one thing I really like about Ed Schultz–he sounds (and looks!) just like Rush Limbaugh, but he’s on the left. I don’t know why the left is not capable of hiring their own Karl Rove to do what you’re saying here. I think it’s partly because it’s hard to convince a single person to care about others–it has to be a _cultural_ sense, and we as Americans have lost it.

  23. @TheBlessingOfLiberty

Speaking as an American who lived in Canada, you’re a jackass. Could you idiots on the right say something new, for once, other than “move to Canada”. Please, come up with something different.

  24. so are you saying we should not have any presidents?

  25. LMAO this is too fuckin funny to watch. Obama’s supporters are more aware of his policies than palin’s supporters are. and these people are supposed to be the real americans? as a hispanic i say god let me go back to mexico LMAO
